An upgrade exchanges risk for a chance to receive a more valuable COSMODROP inventory item. You select one or more items you own as the stake, then choose a target whose displayed value is higher. Before you confirm, the interface shows the target, the combined stake, the multiplier, and the chance for that exact round.
The confirmed stake is consumed when the round is played. There are only two result states: a win adds the selected target to your COSMODROP inventory, while a loss awards no target. Read every displayed condition before playing. A probability describes uncertainty; it is not a promise, a strategy, or a prediction of what the next round must do.
Prepare an upgrade
Start in your COSMODROP inventory and select an owned item that is currently available. You may combine one or more inventory items when the interface allows it. The selected items form the stake and will be committed together, so review the complete selection rather than judging each item separately.
Next, choose a more valuable target from the available catalog. Availability can change, and the target shown in the round is the item you are trying to receive. Do not assume that owning a similarly named Steam item changes the COSMODROP inventory entry or the round conditions.

Understand the result
The selected stake is consumed in either outcome. On a win, the chosen target becomes the result and is added to your COSMODROP inventory. On a loss, no target is awarded. A previous loss does not make the next attempt due to win, and a winning streak does not make another win safer.
Set a personal limit before starting and stop when that limit is reached. Never use money or items needed for everyday expenses, and do not treat upgrades as employment, investment, or dependable value growth. Access is for adults aged 18+ where this activity is permitted.
Review the round afterward
Your history keeps a per-round record so you can revisit the aggregate stake value, target, displayed chance, and outcome. The verification view explains how the recorded result can be checked. Some verification may remain pending until the round data required for a full independent check is revealed; pending does not silently turn a result into a different one.

Can I guarantee an upgrade by choosing a particular multiplier?
No. The multiplier and chance describe the selected round. Neither guarantees a win or creates a reliable strategy.
What happens to my stake when I play?
All items confirmed for that round are consumed. A win awards the target; a loss does not.
